For You. With fashion expertise at the forefront of everything that we do,
we look to entice our youth to get involved with the many aspects of
fashion and the arts. Fashion design flows from artistry to production,
to a delivery of production for an audience caught off guard by the
beauty of the uniqueness of each delivered piece--just like our youth.
Yes, fashion is only another way to reach our youth whom have an eye for
the art of fashion—and thus, mjbDesigns For You hopes to fill that void
for our youth.

Our Story
In
February 2010, three ladies came together to develop a program that would support greater Hartford
Youth. The program itself would uplift those students whom were interested
in the arts and the fashion industry, i.e. fashion design, modeling, literary
arts, art work, etc.
From the development stage, it was determined the program would fall under an already developed program by mjbDesigns For You, LLC - mjbDesigns Emerging Young Artists and Athletics Foundation....

So, what does one with both graphic arts and fashion design training bring to the world of arts and fashion? Does one with such training lean more toward one or the other concept? Or, are both concepts truly intertwined into one discipline deeming that person as a true visual artist?
The skill set required to create graphics as well as fashion designs utilize some of the same skills. However, usually, a person is either one or the other discipline-graphic arts or fashion design. Primary designer Ms. Monique Jovonnie tends to fuse both disciplines in order to tout the title of visual artist.
Drawing from her graphic art skills, she applies those same concepts to her fashion designs with detailed precision, which is why her garments are so special. The mixing of fabrics that you probably would not normally see together is her signature. For example, take the ostrich skirt. The colors of gold, animal print, black and sheer lace together make a fabulous ensemble leaving you with a definitive fashion statement.
To keep her artistic eye fresh, new and exciting, Ms. Monique JoVonnie continues to paint, sketch, and design graphics, to insure her techniques applied to her fashion pieces will always be rich and above board in the fashion industry.
